I would like to first introduce this shipping company. The Mediterranean Shipping Company SA is headquartered in Geneva Switzerland. It was established in 1970 and became the second biggest shipping company, in terms of container loading quantity and worldwide distribution.

When I talked about MSC to my friends, many of them almost didn’t know what I said. I do recommend you could search for relevant information about top 10 container shipping company. I recommend doing an internet search on the top 10 container shipping companies. There was 2015 version of ranking list for your reference, just search it on Google.

Concerning the interview, the process took about half a day and I was informed of their decision on that same day. I really appreciate this level of efficiency. Whether or not you get the position they will inform you promptly. Some companies will stretch the interview time to create stress for the interviewee. I feel that this practice is wrong. It’s not only to choose a job, the job is also choosing a proper one. It is the responsibility of the boss to inform interviewees promptly, because long periods of waiting will only cause more stress.

Incidentally, I discovered that the best way to get to know a company is through observing the attitudes and etiquette of the employees in the personnel department.

It isn’t science, but creates a good frame of reference. The job opening was advertised on the human resources service web site. After submitting your resume, they will tell you if you qualify for the next stage of the interview process. The next step is the English text; vocabulary, reading, composition and typing.

There are three departments you will meet: Human Resource, General Manager and Supervisor. Here you will be introduced to three different people; a human resources rep., the general manager and the supervisor. Though they were all quite easy going, friendly and try to avoid giving you any stress, I still got butterflies in my stomach.

I was also asked a funny question about my past experience working in sales in a department store. I felt confused because the experience wasn’t connected to the job I was interviewing for. I then realized that they just wanted to see if I could express myself well and speak fluently in English.
